Check out this series of events, March 6-9! A commemoration for Lena Mae Baker who became the only woman ever executed in Georgia’s electric chair. Her “crime” was killing her White employer and long-time sexual abuser in self defense. March, 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of this gross travesty of justice. The events will be held on the campus of Clark Atlanta University in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the CAU Writers Workshop Conference.
