New Fact & Tip Sheets

Statistics show that African American/Black women are disproportionately impacted by intimate partner violence. GCADV recognizes and values the importance of its organizational accountability to historically marginalized populations and communities of color.

GCADV’s Community Engagement Initiative includes work with grassroots community-based programs serving specific populations. GCADV works together with community-based programs to develop intervention and prevention solutions that address the root causes of domestic violence in their communities, empowering them to be advocates for community accountability.

As a result of our community engagement work and various community conversations, GCADV has created a Georgia specific fact sheet that addresses the impact of intimate partner violence on African American/Black women as well as a tip sheet to assist programs working with African-American/Black survivors.
