The Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence

VICTORY! Partial funds restored!

Posted on: 04.12.11

GCADV is delighted to announce that the House and Senate conferees have restored $1.655 million in unrestricted state funds to state-certified domestic violence programs and sexual assault programs in the FY 2012 budget!!! While this amount is less than what we had hoped for, it is certainly much better than the alternative.

There is NO DOUBT that this restoration in funding was brought about because of YOUR CALLS to legislators!!  This is proof that, when we mobilize ourselves around a common purpose, we can achieve great things.

Please contact the conference committee members listed below and thank them for restoring these critical state funds.
