Caminar Latino (CL) is a non-profit comprehensive domestic violence program for Latino families in Metro Atlanta and its surrounding counties.  Caminar Latino has been working in the Latino community for the past 22 years and is currently seeking an office assistant that will help maintain an efficient office environment by providing administrative and financial support to others in the office

Job Description

Title:  Office Assistant

Wage:  $12 p/hr 20hrs p/ week

Reports to: Executive Director

Position Requirements:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Business College training an advantage

· Basic bookkeeping skills

· Competent computer skills including MS Office and internet skills including use of e-mails, and information gathering

· Knowledge of Quickbooks preferable

· Detail Oriented

· Responsible, dependable, and organized work habits.

· Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

· Ability to maintain bookkeeping records on computer.

· Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies organization and planning skills

· Work management and prioritizing skills

· Problem solving ability

· Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English preferable

· Accuracy

· Flexibility

· Reliability

· Teamwork

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

· Scan and File Receipts

· Assist with 990 and Audit Preparation

· Maintain participants’ files and keep updated

· Manage healthy snack program

· Prepare weekly volunteer list and update records

· Prepare volunteer packets for new volunteers

· Maintain donor database

· Compile information for programmatic and financial grant  reports

· Mailing Campaigns

· Prepare weekly group documents

· Update mailing lists (electronic and physical)

· Submit all financial reports to ED for approval

· Input all financial transactions into Quickbooks

· Track payment due dates and prepare CL payments for approval

· Gather financial transaction documents from programs manager and ED

· Monitor grants’ budgets and current balances

· Prepare invoices as needed

· Faxing, scanning and copying of documents

· Co-ordinate and organize appointments and meetings

· Assist with event planning and implementation

· Monitor and maintain office supplies

· Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and serviced

· Perform work related errands as requested such as going to the post office

·         Other duties as needed
