GCADV has several options that can enrich volunteers’ professional development and personal fulfillment while giving so much to the organization. Volunteers provide an integral service to many of the programs at GCADV. Ideal volunteers have passion for working to reduce domestic violence and other forms of oppression in our society. They are reliable, flexible and survivor-centered. Generally, volunteers are asked to perform tasks at the GCADV office during weekday office hours. However, some assignments may be more flexible, so please inquire if you are able to work outside of traditional office hours. We welcome anyone to apply for a volunteer position, especially survivors, people of color, Deaf individuals and people with disabilities.
We always welcome volunteer applications. If you would like to be considered for upcoming volunteer opportunities, please complete the GCADV Volunteer Application.
GCADV member programs have a wide variety of needs and locations. Each member program is different and volunteer roles can include a variety of tasks including answering phones, assisting in thrift stores, cooking meals and providing transportation. Please contact your local program to learn more about their needs.
