I learned a lot! I am a survivor of domestic violence. It’s a miracle I’m alive today. My husband was abusive verbally, mentally and when I tried divorcing him he became really upset and tried to murder me. I was shot once after three attempts before I could run out of our home. Then he shot and killed himself. My whole world has been turned upside. My kids and I have lost our house, cars, vacation home, and trust. Our hope and love is strong and hasn’t been taken from us which is the only reason why we are surviving! We are grateful every single day to be alive and for the miracles that took place that day. The one year anniversary is coming up and in honor of healing my wounds from inside out I’d like to donate time and my energy in helping this cause. I’m inspired by last night to give back since I’ve been so lucky and blessed. I owe God everything and promised to help end domestic violence by giving others hope and courage.
