<p>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
• Personnel Management:<br />
-Administer personnel policies including employ, evaluate, promote and discharge staff, volunteers and interns.<br />
-Conduct staff meetings and arrange staff and volunteer in-services to enhance skills and knowledge of staff and volunteers.<br />
-Provides oversight of training of staff and volunteers.<br />
-Ensures compliance with human resource issues including leave, payroll, taxes, medical insurance, and federal and state labor laws.<br />
-Addresses all personnel grievances and complaints ensuring the proper protocol is followed.</p>
<p>• Program Management:<br />
-Maintains the mission of the agency.<br />
-Implements policies and procedures through comprehensive supervision and development, needs assessments, and evaluation methods ensuring compliance with state and federal contracts.<br />
-Provide supervision and support of the shelter, transitional, outreach and thrift store programs.<br />
-Compiles and reviews all monthly, quarterly, and annual statistic reports for grant contracts.<br />
-Ensures the program maintains appropriate insurance coverage for automobile, real estate and personnel matters.<br />
-Addresses survivor grievances ensuring the proper protocol is followed.</p>
<p>• Financial Management:<br />
-Fiscally manage the Agency through grant writing and budgeting under the guidelines set by the board.<br />
-Maintain contract records; include reimbursement requests and monthly reports, in conjunction with the finance chair of the board of directors.<br />
-Ensure program stability and expansion through grant writing and fundraising.<br />
-Create and implement the annual budget ensuring that it is fiscally sound and operating in the best interest of the program.<br />
-Complete a semi-annual budget revision if necessary.<br />
-Acts as the authorized signor on all federal and state contracts.</p>
<p>• Board Governance:<br />
-Plan and coordinate the tasks of the Board.<br />
-Provides transparent communications with the Board informing them of all Peace Place issues.</p>
<p>• Public Relations:<br />
-Represent the Agency in the community, making known our programs and services.<br />
-Act as agency spokesperson with other organizations, communities and media outlets.<br />
-Travels and acts as program representative at all state, federal and local funding contract and coalition meetings.</p>

<p><strong>Position: VP of Programs</strong></p>
<p><strong>Supervisor: President &amp; CEO</strong></p>
<p><strong>Position Description:  </strong>The Vice President of Programs will be responsible for the overall administration and leadership of the domestic violence shelter program, which serves approximately 584 clients in two shelters each year. The position oversees and annual program budget of more than $2+ million. In addition, the VP is responsible for ensuring that the shelter programs provide high quality, client-centered, trauma-informed and culturally competent services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. Strong financial acumen is necessary for success. Additionally, this position will join PADV in time to open a brand new state of the art shelter in GwinnettCounty.</p>
<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Provides leadership and management for two domestic violence shelters/scattered sites in Metro Atlanta</li>
<li>Provide direct supervision to two Shelter Directors’, ensuring consistent policies and practices are developed, implemented, and maintained in the areas of staff recruitment, development and training, quality supervision, and client-centered service delivery</li>
<li>Comply with all licensing requirements of state and local regulatory entities, including but not limited to the Governor’s Office of Children and Families, DHS, HIPPA, etc. including but not limited to overseeing the preparation and responses to audits, applications, operational plans, modifications, and managing the recertification process (if necessary)</li>
<li>Networks with appropriate public and civic leaders in order to enhance the recognition and awareness of domestic violence and the work of PADV.</li>
<li>Partner with the appropriate PADV Departments to develop and maintain a strong workforce; to establish needed quality assurance and quality improvement mechanisms; to engage in a wide range of development activities and to respond to media inquiries to increase the public’s awareness of PADV and educate the public on domestic violence.</li>
<li>Participate in coalitions, task forces, and work groups</li>
<li>Fosters and maintains excellent, professional working relations with staff and volunteers and functions as part of a team.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Master’s Degree (MSW, MPH, MPA)</li>
<li>A minimum of five years of successful management experience in a social service setting, preferably with three years of supervisory/managerial experience directly related to the field of domestic violence.</li>

<li>Commitment to a client-centered approach to practice with victims of domestic violence; excellent team-building skills; sound financial management skills; ability to manage complex human resources situations fairly and effectively</li>

Responsibilities include managing all NCCADV’s prevention programs, with special attention to coordinating outreach and services to traditionally underserved populations.  This position will supervise key staff, facilitate resource sharing and develop programming.  The Prevention Coordinator oversees NCCADV’s Domestic Violence Enhancement and Leadership Through Alliances (DELTA) Project and the Child Advocacy and Services Enhancement (CASE) Project and all other prevention-focused programs.  In addition, this position provides training and technical assistance to local domestic violence programs, allied professionals, regional sites, and community groups on issues related to intimate partner violence (IPV) prevention. Minimum of three years experience working in a local domestic violence service program or closely allied organization.  Master’s level degree or equivalent experience. Successful applicants will be familiar with national, statewide and local IPV prevention efforts in NC.  Applicants from diverse groups are encouraged to apply. This is a Durham-based position.</p>
